Playing in a school setting attends to the social and emotional development of children as well as their cognitive development. It has been shown to help children adjust to the school setting and even to enhance children's learning readiness, learning behaviours, and problem-solving skills.
Shaftesbury School has a large proportion of children on free school meals and a very diverse pupil population. Their playground equipment is very worn and the school is looking to develop its play area to be more appealing for children to play. We have designed and are looking to install a new play area including a play station.
A very large mixed school with worn and scarce playground equipment. We have installed this playground which includes play furniture, climbing walls and a custom Peace Train.
